The Brewster County Groundwater Conservation District has tabled a decision on a new proposed fee structure to “at least” next month. Joan Johnson Chair of the board of directors recommended the board table the decision to “at least” the next board meeting to be held on September 15. Johnson implored the board to study the issue before meeting again.
The meeting had a standing room only crowd of over fifty citizens who mostly expressed comments in favor of the fees.
The proposed fee structure is being considered as a revenue stream that will enable the district according to Summer Webb, General Manager of the district.
