On August 27th, 2016, Marfa Live Arts will bring back ¡Pachanga! A Community Talent Show. ¡Pachanga! (slang word for party or bash) will be emceed by Junie Villarreal and will take place at the Marfa Visitor Center in the USO Hall, 302 South Highland Avenue in Marfa, starting at 7:30 pm (doors at 7pm). All ages are welcome. FREE.
CALL FOR TALENT:
WE WANT YOU! GET ON STAGE AND SHOW MARFA THAT YOU CAN YODLE, HULA HOOP, SALSA DANCE, RAP, CONTORT, JUGGLE, SING OPERA, DO BACKFLIPS, or WHATEVER ELSE YOU MAY HAVE UP YOUR SLEEVE. THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHOW THE COMMUNITY WHAT CAN DO.
Performers can showcase their talents including but not limited to music, dance, acting, comedy, and writing. One confirmed act will be a push-up contest between two Marfa residents. If you can think of something bizarre, we are all for it. Contact [email protected] to sign up.
Contest winners will receive gift certificates to Frama/Plaine, Marpho, and Stellina.
This event is free and open to the community.
