ROMP invites you to auction tonight (Saturday, April 30)
ROMP into Spring! Responsible Ownership Marfa Pets (ROMP) will be holding a first ever Bachelor & Bachlorette Auction event for our region. This Fundraiser will be on Saturday, April 30 at Planet Marfa, 200 S. Abbot in Marfa.
Doors open 5 pm and there will be a $5 cover charge. A cash bar is available for your pleasure. Live Bidding on Marfa’s most eligible singles is guaranteed to be fun and rewarding. The winning participant may ask the Bachelor or Bachlorette for whatever they desire, keep it clean though! A silent auction will be held coinciding with the event including destination lodging, dinners, and gift certificates, all just waiting for your bids.
This fundraiser will support the local efforts for ROMP including our first ever SPAY DAY targeting qualified local pets, both dogs and cats, in a weekend Spay/Neuter event provided by our Local Veterinarians. In addition, this fundraising also supports our ongoing SPOT Program, Stop Pet Overpopulation today, which subsidizes surgeries provided by local area veterinary clinics to pets of qualified residents in Presidio, Jeff Davis, and Culberson Counties. ROMP also provides humane education to elementary students along with an active “Marfa Community Cats” program aimed at reducing the feral cat population in Marfa through a managed trap, neuter and return (TNR) program.
We are a private, non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization and donations are tax deductible. Our goal is to make spay/neuter a humanely acceptable and a viable means to reduce pet overpopulation, suffering and homelessness.
