Cargo Plane Crashes Near Alpine Airport
On July 3, Brewster County Deputies responded to a plane crash near Highway 118, North of Alpine. A cargo plane was attempting to return to the airport, due to mechanical problems, following takeoff. The pilot was transported for treatment. The crash is still under investigation.
