April 1, 2015 - Nine undocumented Mexican Nationals were apprehended in the Black Gap area of Brewster County. USBP reported they had lost sign of the group. After wondering around in the desert for several hours they were spotted by area residents, who called Sheriff Dodson. Deputies, Will Drawe and Trevor Anderson responded to the area and were able to apprehend the group of nine. It appears that some of the males may be involved in gang affiliated activities. Large groups of illegal border crossers have been seen in the area’s of Brewster, Presidio, Terrell and Culberson counties. The case in under investigation.
