Candidates for Alpine City Mayor and Alpine City Council election on will gather Saturday from 5 to 7 pm at the Hampton Inn located on Highway 90 in Alpine for a public forum. The forum will take place between 5 and 7 pm.
The forum will be moderated by the new managing editor at the Alpine Avalanche, Scott A. Briggs according to Avalanche Publisher John Nathan. The Alpine Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the forum.
The forum is free, and all voters are encouraged and welcome to attend. The Alpine City elections are May 10 with early voting starting on Monday. Later in the month on May 27, there will be a run-off election for Brewster County Judge.
