Baxter brings his Hoop Path Puri*Fire hooping workshop to Alpine the weekend of April 4-6
One of the seminal figures in the hoopdance community, a pioneer of many hooping moves and a whole approach to hooping, and a phenomenal hooping teacher, Baxter is coming to Alpine to teach a Hoop Path workshop in just a few weeks!
Jonathan Livingston Baxter does not teach hooping skills, per say. This is not like a series of loosely connected how-to tutorials. Rather,Baxter teaches through all sorts of exercises to help you get deeper into your own hoop practice, wherever you are in skill levels, or whatever your hooping bent. Hence the name of his hooping philosophy, “The Hoop Path, Hoop dance for the Conscious.” Interested? Visit The Hoop Path website for more information.
To get a better sense of Baxter and his hooping and Hoop Path philosophy, if you are so inclined, visit his YouTube channel and watch various videos that appeal to you (He’s put many of them into playlists to help you choose what might appeal best to you, including some interviews with him. Note: what is not immeditately evident from most of these videos is how very funny, and how warm he is in person.) Just go to J.L. Baxter’s YouTube channel and watch, fun videos of his hooping and his philosophy.
And please help spread the word to any hoopers you think might be interested. This is a phenomenal opportunity to learn from a wonderful teacher — right here in the Big Bend. Let’s show Baxter our hoop love.
