This morning, Marfa Public Radio, KRTS 93.5 FM host Lorne Matalon led a discussion during the Talk at Ten program of the recent Brewster County elections. Present were Eleazar Cano candidate for Brewster County Judge, Robert Halpern Publisher of the Big Bend Sentinel, John Waters, Publisher of the Big Bend Gazette and Travis
Bubenik of KRTS.
Cano led incumbent Judge Kathy Killingsworth in the March 4 primary election. A runoff between the two is set for May 27.
Both Judge Kathy Killingsworth and County Commissioner Tom Williams, who recently won the Democratic primary, declined the opportunity to join the Talk at Ten discussion.
