The Alpine Public Library and the Marfa Public Library are proud to present author Ricardo Ainslie who will read from and talk about his new book The Fight to Save Juarez-Life in the Heart of Mexico’s Drug War. Ainslie is a native of Mexico City and is a professor in the department of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds dual US and Mexican citizenship. The event will be held at the Alpine Public Library at 805 W. Avenue E at 7:00pm on Saturday, November 9th. Light refreshments will be served. This is also the weekend of the Center for Big Bend Studies annual conference at Sul Ross. And, the Museum of the Big Bend, also on the Sul Ross campus, is hosting Treasures from the Frederic Remington Art Museum. This would be an excellent time to head over to Alpine for a full day of interesting and enriching activities.
