Post-Christmas electronics recycling event: Jan. 14-19
Did Santa bring you a new computer, cell phone, iPod, or other electronics, and now you need to get rid of the old ones? Don’t throw them in the dumpster… clean out the closet, attic, basement, or spare room of all those old computers, printers, laptops, phones, scanners, etc. that are no longer being used and bring them to Alpine Recycles! electronics recycling week, January 14-19.
The electronics will be collected at the old Alpine Fire Station at 400 West Avenue E. from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, and 9am-3pm on Saturday. Please separate materials into like boxes: all keyboards together, all towers together, all CRT’s together, etc.
Anything computer or computer related will be accepted. New this year….televisions! Yes, televisions will be accepted, so bring those too (still not accepting large floor copiers, sorry!)
We will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the West Texas Food Bank, so we encourage you to bring something to put in the specially marked food bin.
For more information, please call 294-3183. Thanks for recycling!
