The Ghost Town Offspring made their public debut on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the High Sierra Bar in Terlingua. The band, comprised of Terlingua high school students (above, L to R) Hogan Sullivan (guitar & vocals), Travis Walker (drums), Jett Davidson (bass), and Brenden Flippo (guitar) entertained the crowd with energetic renditions of rock classics by The Who, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and Fleetwood Mac, amongst others. Oddly enough, Beatles’ “Helter Skelter” got several listeners up and dancing (below). Guest guitar soloist Jackson Herring joined the  group for several numbers, including Hendrix' "Purple Haze." Over the course of their one-hour performance, many more to contributed to the tip jar. (Marlys Hersey)
